2010 Choreographers ball

The choreographers ball was a fantastic display of Toronto's finest
choreography.

With acts from Linda Garneau, Hollywood Jade, Shavar Blackwood, Leon
and his nu limit crew and of course the reinventor of dance
choregraphy himself ,
Chris Clark and his Nexx level dance and theatre company.

All acts where highly creative with unthinkable themes and storylines
that kept the audience screaming for more.

With the recent emergance of Dance tv reality shows like so you think
you can dance, dancing with the stars, and Americas best dance crew,
Toronto has a lot to be proud about as it's repitoir of talent is far
larger than what is being displayed.

And with events like Toronto Choreographers ball we are certain that
our Canadian talent will soon be recognized and respected on a larger
scale than just another local event

sensation )
luther Brown and guests and of course a few members of theMOVEMENTZ
staff.

Pre Choreographers ball

Today we visited Christoph and his dance company to get a sneak peak
at what's to come for this years Toronto Choreographers ball.

Nexx level dance is a company comprised as a mix of hip hop , jazz,
lyrical and theatre performers with a sexy edge of new age vision

Nexx level dance is not a class it's a place to perform

We look forward to this year Choreographers ball piece a chance yet
again for us to witness the genius behind Nexx level.

Lindsay Ritter

Lindsay Ritter is a talented dancer, teacher, choreographer and director with more than 15 years experience working with people of all ages. Lindsay attended The Randolph Performance Academy in Toronto where she trained in dance, drama and vocal.



Some of Lindsay’s favorite performance credits include, Fame -The Musical, Legends Tribute Show, Royal Caribbean and Sunquest Cruise Lines, Paramount Canada’s Wonderland, Much Music, City TV and The Comedy Network.

Lindsay currently runs and teaches an independent dance company: LR Productions , which provides professional dancers and packaged dance productions for corporate events, shows and entertainment. We are also the first to offer Toronto Commercial Jazz Classes!

Commercial Jazz is a fun and fresh class which caters to intermediate/advanced and professional dancers who are taught techniques and styles which are combined to create the dance styles you see on MTV and on stage today!

Lindsay’s rapport with her students is reflected in her confidence and professional relationships she has built over the years. With the combination of training and work experience, Lindsay has been able to transform her love for dance into a successful and rewarding career.

Nexx level Dance and Theatre

Nexx Level Dance and Theatre Entertainment’s “Beyond Our Control” was a culmination of hip hop and many other dance styles including Broadway and Lyrical. The many styles explored in this creative work of art showcased not only a varied side of this group but a strength and confidence that helped the delivery and message of the show ring loud and clear. It was obvious that over the many years of working with dancers this company had grown and evolved while still maintaining their roots in hip hop.
